Location: The High Tech campus in Eindhoven Netherlands ( silicon valley of Europe) and is named the smartest square kilometre of the world in 2012.

The sensor algorithm engineer plays a key role in developing advanced sensor algorithms with the focus on sensor fusion. Strong algorithm development experience, with the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplined engineering teams including business, is required for success in this position.

In this role you are responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining advanced sensor algorithms including sensor fusion. You are involved in all phases of algorithm development including generating algorithm specifications based on key performance indicators and other market requirements, algorithm simulation and work with engineers for implementation of real-time, optimized algorithms for the mobile platforms. You are also responsible for guiding testing methods and apparatus for sensor algorithms, sensor data collection, visualization and annotation for sensor algorithms. The engineer will support for key customer engagement to ensure design wins and successful integration, qualification and deployment of the products. He or she may also engage with our partners, customers, and other engineering teams for generating the technical requirements and generating the system and algorithm specifications

Background:

  • MSC and/or PHD degree ( Signal processing, mathematics)
  • You have several years of working experience in signal processing and modeling ( Humidity, temparture for example or speech).
  • You enjoy doing research, development and design new methods and algorithms.
  • You are curious and like to explore mysterious behaviour of complex signals/images and use them for practical issues (transferring science into technology).
  • You are passionate to exchange ideas and communicate with various people expert in engineering, mathematics, business, etc.
  • Big pre is advanced experience in GSM / Handheld sensor related, low-bit rate voice coders, Denoising, Filtering in combination with Ad hoc algorithm designs,
  • Pre is experience with Source localization, Time-Frequency, Multi-band filters or Multimodal analysis;
  • You computer skills is around tools like Matlab and Simulink, Mathworks (SP, IP,) or C/C++/C#/Objective C
